Melanie is a true Georgia peach, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.  Melanie has the training and experience but during sessions, you will never feel as if you are being judged or analyzed.  Melanie believes we are all human and we can't ignore that the main key to being a human is empathy.

Melanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy University and Master of Science in Marriage Family Counseling Therapy from Capella University.

Melanie began working in the counseling field in 2007 as a paraprofessional assisting in the completion of Comprehensive Child and Family Assessments, WRAP around services, and facilitating Independent Living Workshops with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services.  Her experience with individuals, couples, families, and groups range in settings from community, in-home, classrooms, corporations, to private practice.  She specializes in working with couples who are struggling with infidelity, conflict resolution, divorce, and blended families.

 

Melanie incorporates solution focused, strength based, and EFT approaches when working with clients, providing a holistic perspective of mind, body, and spirit.
